iLab Service Requests
Researchers at Rutgers University can now utilize iLab to request many of our core services. iLab is a web-based core facility management software which will serve as our central marketplace for requesting most of Animal Care’s core services, accessing your billing activity and access to customizable reporting functions, all in one centralized location.
When to use iLab
Below is the list of Animal Care core areas that will require you to use iLab for specific services:
- Aquatics Core - Technical Service Requests
- CMR (Husbandry) - Technical Service and Supply Requests
- CMR (Veterinary) - Technical Service and Non-Controlled Drug/Supply Requests
- CMR Newark - Large Animal Surgery Requests
- Gnotobiotic Core - Technical Service and Supply Requests
- IVRS Core - Technical Service, CBC/Chem Tests and Contract Research Requests
- Animal Import, Export, and 3rd Party Diagnostic Service Requests (Animal Shipping)
The following requests will not use iLab and you will continue to use existing processes in place using either ACFC or ACforms:
- Animal Orders from Approved Vendors - ACFC
- Internal Transfer of Animals within Rutgers - ACFC
- Controlled Substance Requests - ACForms
Creating an iLab Account / Login
To be able to request services from one of our cores, PIs and their lab members will need to have a registered iLab account. Please visit iLab FAQs for directions on how to register an account.
