Lindsay Shea, a nationally recognized scholar and Medicaid policy expert who helped pioneer new approaches to autism research, has been named director of the Center for State Health Policy (CSHP), a unit of the Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research (IFH).
The FAME (Food, Agriculture, and Marine Ecosystems) afterschool 4-H program at Rutgers is transforming how high school students engage with science by combining in-person, science-in-action tours, interviews with scientists and collaborative video storytelling.
Like many schoolchildren, Professor Lacey Hunter was taught that ancient history began in Mesopotamia and ended with the fall of Rome. There were no lessons about the ancient history of Africa, a subject that will be explored at the 46th Annual Marion Thompson Wright Lecture Series, held on February 21. The event is titled Beyond Time: Ancient Africa, History and the Black Imagination.
