The Rutgers Innovation Awards recognize researchers who have translated world-class research into an invention/innovation that would benefit society. The application portal has officially closed, and winners will be notified by mid-August.

What
The Rutgers Innovation Awards recognize distinguished innovators who have demonstrated excellence by developing a breakthrough idea, process, or technology that has shown its transformational potential to improve lives and create economic value.
We will also celebrate inventors who received patents during the previous fiscal year, certain innovators with non-patented intellectual property, as well as our trainees who have completed their year-long formal training in Technology Transfer.

The 2026 RIA Sponsorship Levels are: Scarlet ($5,500+), Platinum ($5,000+), Gold ($2,500+), Silver ($1,000+), and Bronze ($500+).
