Students learning at home

According to a report, 65 percent of families with incomes below the federal poverty line reported their child couldn’t participate in class. Majority of Hispanic (66 percent) and Black (56 percent) parents report their children experienced these obstacles to school participation, compared to 42 percent of white parents. 

Two Rutgers–Camden professors are leading projects funded by the National Science Foundation to combat COVID-19, one examining the origins of COVID-19 to anticipate how to stop its future mutations and the second to create a tool to help mayors and governors assess the impacts of different social distancing levels and travel restrictions.
