Biography

Brian has over 30 years of experience in pharma/biotech under various positions. In 1990, Brian joined Organon Pharmaceuticals and held positions in sales and sales management. He was a distinguished participant of Organon’s Executive Management Program. In 1998 he joined Ferring Pharmaceutical as a Regional Sales & Operations Manager where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations for the Eastern United States. Brian was a key leader in launching a new US product line serving the fertility market and helped exceed sales goals by over 50%. In 2000 he joined SGS US Testing as Vice-President of Pharma Services, where he managed all facets of the company’s laboratory testing services. He also served on the Business Development Team and was instrumental in identifying M&A targets.

Brian’s foray into the entrepreneurial began in 2002 with Whitehouse Analytical Laboratories, an FDA-regulated testing facility. Brian led all phases of the company’s growth and expansion: what started as a 3,000 square feet empty lab space, 3 employees, and a singular focus on pharmaceutical container testing, grew by 2015 into a state-of-the-art, 20,000 square feet lab with 48 full-time employees, offering a suite of services in Pharma Container Testing, Package Testing, Raw Material Analysis & Qualification, Technical Support and Testing and Container Closure Integrity Testing. In 2015, the company was acquired by Albany Molecular Research (AMRI), a publicly traded pharma services company.

Over the past few years, Brian has been an investor-operator in the pharma sector through his private company CLJ Holdings LLC. In 2017, he made an equity investment in Visikol, a clinical research company that spun out of the Rutgers University PhD program. Visikol holds the patent on a tissue clearing reagent and has developed a suite of drug discovery services base on 3D imaging technologies. Brian serves as a business operations consultant. In 2019, Brian, along with a group of experienced executives, acquired Leak Detection Associates (LDA), a manufacturer of helium-based container and package testing systems marketed and used by the pharma, biotech and packaged food industries to insure the integrity of their package systems. Brian will serve as company CEO and will oversee all aspects of the operation on both a macro and micro level.

Brian is a 1989 Bucknell Graduate with a degree in English Literature.
