I-Corps Hub Northeast Region: Innovating Together with USPTO
For researchers exploring commercialization pathways and funding for their research or innovations, students and post-docs interested in learning more about innovation and entrepreneurship, and community innovators and startups looking to connect with our community, join us for the next special event in the Innovating Together Series hosted by the NSF I-Corps Northeast Hub! Whether you're far along in your commercialization journey or just starting out and wanting to learn more about innovation, all are welcome!
Come learn about how the NSF I-Corps Northeast Hub works with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) to inspire the next generation of innovators, by providing FREE education & resources to innovators across the nation. This session will be especially useful for Minority Serving Institutions, non-R1 institutions, and community innovators to learn how to best leverage USPTO programs & staff, nearby Patent & Trademark Resource Centers (PTRCs), and online learning resources to protect and commercialize intellectual property.
Our esteemed panel of USPTO leaders will share details about their programs & events, and will join a discussion about how innovators and I-Corps teams can participate in their USPTO Programs. Our panelists include:
- Elizabeth Dougherty, Outreach Director of Northeast Regional Office of USPTO
- Laura Palumbo, PTRC Librarian at Rutgers Library Science of Medicine (Piscataway, NJ)
- Jordan Cazden, PTRC Librarian at the Free Library of Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA)
- Keegan Fletcher, PTRC Librarian at Newark Public Library (Newark, NJ)
