  • Rutgers Rosebell Red Habanero Pepper
    Rutgers "Rosebell Red" pepper is a unique habanero developed from a field cross between African and Mexican habanero peppers. It has been evaluated at Rutgers research centers in Southern and Central New Jersey between 2010 and 2019. The "Rosebell Red" was selectively developed based on its unique qualities and consistency over years of breeding, and is ready for release into the market. The "Rosebell Red" is distinct in large fruit size, wall firmness and attractive rosebell-like fruit shape. It  has a notable bright glossy red color.

  • Rutgers Sugar Pearl Apricot

These amazing white-fleshed apricots are unlike any fruit we've ever tried before, and must be tasted to be believed!   • Rutgers Avalon Nectarine
    Ripening about 10 days before Redhaven, this very early nectarine has a great combination of rich color, good flavor and high productivity compared to other varieties in its season. The fruit is firm with very sweet, but acid flavor. The trees are vigorous with low susceptibility to bacterial leaf spot.

  • Rutgers Victoria Peach
    Victoria® is a large peach with 40 percent red blush over a yellow background color. The flesh is very firm with excellent flavor and maintains its fruit quality in cold storage. The trees are vigorous and productive with low susceptibility to bacterial spot. This is one of the best late-season varieties we have tested.

  • Rutgers Tangos II Peach
    Another new flat selection, the fruit ripens about one week after Saturn, with greenish-yellow skin covering the entire surface of the fruit. This variety has been more difficult to grow than TangOs®, but the fruit quality is exquisite and worth the extra effort. The tree is vigorous, productive and resistant to bacterial spot.

  • Rutgers Tangos Peach
    This outstanding new selection ripens five days after Saturn, and has excellent size and firmness. The fruit has 100 percent yellow skin color, outstanding flavor and good shipping qualities. This exciting new variety is very different than Saturn in taste and texture. The tree is upright, vigorous, productive and resistant to bacterial spot.

  • Rutgers Scarlet Rose Peach
    This white-fleshed, clingstone peach has excellent firmness and extremely enjoyable eating qualities with great flavor. The fruit of this variety will hang on the tree for 2 weeks after maturity without significant loss of firmness. Trees are vigorous and very productive. This variety had some susceptibility to bacterial leaf spot and should be trialed before heavily planted where this disease is a problem.

    Messina® peaches are very large, highly colored, with excellent firmness and fruit quality. The trees are very vigorous, productive and resistant to bacterial spot. This variety is receiving very high marks by growers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

  • Rutgers July Rose Peach
    A new early season variety, the July Rose™ is an unusual white-fleshed peach that vigorously produces large fruits 5-7 days before Redhaven. The firm fruit has a nice, sweet flavor with a very attractive red color. The tree is vigorous and productive and tolerant of bacterial leaf spot.
