IRB Process & Requirements

How To Submit Your Study For IRB Approval

1. Confirm if your project is "Human Subject Research"
2. Complete required Human Subject Education
3. Select appropriate IRB Review Approval Procedure (based on your study's risk level)
4. Complete IRB forms & templates including External Approvals
   Include your research protocol, consent form(s), supporting external approvals, etc. as applicable:
   
   • Search HRPP Toolkit to find relevant documents
   • View HRPP External Approvals (performance site forms, REHS, etc.)
   • View Paper Forms (for current approved paper studies only)
5. Submit eIRB online application (attach any supporting documentation)
6. Learn about the IRB approval process
