Todd Slawsky, M.B.A, Ed.M.

Todd Slawsky, M.B.A, Ed.M. is a seasoned finance and administration executive with more than two decades of leadership experience at Rutgers University. As Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration for Rutgers' Office for Research, he serves as the chief budget officer for the unit, providing strategic leadership for finance, budgeting, forecasting, human resources, information technology, data analytics, communications, and administrative operations. In this role, Todd supports the financial and strategic objectives of the Office for Research and its diverse portfolio of units and initiatives.

Throughout his Rutgers career, Todd has held a variety of progressively responsible leadership positions spanning finance, administration, operations, and strategic planning. Prior to joining the Office for Research, he served in senior business leadership roles within Rutgers Department of External Affairs, where he managed complex budgets, financial forecasting, procurement, human resources, facilities, information technology, and operational performance initiatives. His work has consistently focused on aligning financial resources with institutional priorities, enhancing operational effectiveness, and providing data-driven decision support to university leadership.

A collaborative and solutions-oriented leader, Todd is recognized for translating complex financial and operational information into actionable strategies that support organizational growth and mission achievement. His expertise includes budget development and forecasting, financial analysis, procurement, contract negotiation, human resource management, risk assessment, strategic planning, data analytics, and organizational leadership. He has played a key role in supporting large-scale university initiatives, strengthening administrative operations, and advancing the strategic goals of Rutgers University's research enterprise. 

Todd earned his bachelor's degree, Master of Education, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers University. A proud Rutgers alumnus and longtime university leader, he resides in Marlboro, New Jersey, with his family and enjoys coaching youth sports and supporting his children's activities in the community.
