Biography

Najoua Borkadi, Ph.D serves as Executive Director for Research Business Development at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. She is charged with enhancing biomedical and health sciences collaborations and fostering strategic partnerships with industry as part of a joint initiative between RBHS and the Corporate Engagement Center within the Rutgers University Office for Research. 

Prior to joining Rutgers, Najoua held positions of head of Business Development and Licensing at Cooper Pharma Group and the University of Michigan. Most recently, she served as Director of Business Development at the University of Michigan Medical School as the Director of Business Development where she led efforts in establishing strategic and sustainable research partnerships between university faculty and biopharmaceutical companies worldwide. 

Najoua received her Ph.D in Medicinal Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina and completed her postdoctoral training in the pathology department at the University of Michigan. She is skilled in identifying growth and collaboration opportunities, driving portfolio strategies, and evaluating, negotiating, and executing BD&L deals for institutions and companies worldwide.
