Limited Submission Opportunities
About Limited Submission Opportunities
Limited Submissions are funding opportunities where the sponsor has limited the number of applications accepted from one institution or organization. Faculty members interested in submitting a proposal to a Limited Submission Opportunity (LSO) must submit an internal pre-proposal for internal review.
It is imperative that PIs/Teams follow the Limited Submissions process. Failure to do so may result in Rutgers having applications returned without review or being rendered ineligible to apply to future funding cycles.
Current Limited Submission Opportunities
There are many Limited Submission Opportunities that are currently open. If you are interested in a Limited Submission Opportunity that is not listed, contact the University-wide Funding Opportunities team.
Limited Submissions Ideal Timeline
When possible, the below timeline will be used for LSO competitions. If a sponsor posts a LSO less than 12 weeks before the external deadline, the Office for Research will shorten the timeline as needed. When there are less than 6 weeks to the external deadline, opportunities will be posted as first come, first serve.
