Director's Camp
Overview
Rutgers University Animal Care in collaboration with Directors of Laboratory Animal Care programs at Boston University and Massachusetts General Hospital are organizing a 3-day camp for directors/associate directors of laboratory animal programs across academia/industry. The Directors Camp will be held at The Heldrich Hotel & Conference Center in Downtown New Brunswick, NJ from July 10-12th with a reception and dinner on the night of July 10, followed by a full-day working session on July 11 and half-day session on July 12th.
The camp will focus on leadership development and program management of laboratory animal care programs. This will be an interactive experience where the participants as well as faculty will deliberate on best practices, program refinements, change management, people management, and process improvements to meet the challenges facing the laboratory animal industry. This is an invitation-only event that will be restricted to 35 attendees including directors, associate directors, and leaders from leading institutions across the U.S. The attendees are a diverse group representing large, medium, and small lab animal programs and will offer a great networking opportunity for participants.
