REDCap is a secure, web-based application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data in any environment (including compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR), it is specifically geared to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations.
All research data files must be stored securely in a location accessible by Rutgers University.
OneDrive for Business is the feature of Rutgers Connect (Office 365) where you can store, sync, and share your work files in the cloud. With OneDrive for Business, you can share and collaborate on work documents with co-workers.
Proper records management satisfies compliance with laws and regulations while ensuring that historically significant records are preserved. Efficient records management also offers guidance on the maintenance, retention, storage, and disposition of official records based on their fiscal, legal, administrative, and historical value to the university.
Research data management refers to planning, organizing, sharing, and preserving the data and documentation used to generate published research output. Increasingly, federal agencies and other granting bodies are requiring data management plans that address these topics, so that the products of funded research are publicly available for reuse.
