Connect, Learn and Explore at the 2020 Core Facilities Showcase

Join colleagues from Rutgers and other academic institutions across the state at the 2020 New Jersey Core Facilities Showcase. Now in its second year, the Showcase sessions and virtual exhibit booths will highlight research services and equipment offered by academic institutions from around the Garden State. These services span all disciplines including structural biology, genomics, imaging and materials science. 

Panel discussions led Rutgers and Princeton University presenters will held on Wednesday, November 4 and a series of meetings, virtual tours and demonstrations will take place on Monday, November 9.

Highlights include:

• A keynote and Q&A session on the topic of University Core Facilities: An Engine of Innovation at the interface of Industry and Academia, with Craig Arnold, Director of PRISM, Princeton University;
• Omic Core Capabilities, a panel discussion highlighting some of the major Omics capabilities available at Rutgers and Princeton, with an emphasis on the application of new emerging technologies;
• A Materials Characterization and Analysis panel to address advanced imaging techniques using electrons and X-rays that have facilitated improved super resolution, beyond that which standard microscopy enables and are poised to make significant contributions to both the physical and life sciences;
• Keeping Costs Low and Fiscal Compliance, a group discussion about how university Core Facilities can deliver quality service to faculty at a reasonable price;
• Core Facilities: A Seat for Innovation, a panel that will address how access to high-end equipment in university core facilities can play a critical role in the success of entrepreneurs and small companies and how to identify synergistic avenues for the growth of these critical interactions. 

The New Jersey Core Facilities Showcase will be held during Princeton University's Engage 2020 conference. All guests registered for Engage 2020 will also have access to the conference’s 50+ sessions relevant to academia, business and industry, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, foundations and the intellectually curious.
