2024 Rutgers Healthcare Hackathon
The second annual 48-hour Healthcare Hackathon, hosted by Rutgers Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick from October 25–27, brings together students, postdocs, young professionals, healthcare experts, and tech enthusiasts interested in innovation, digital solutions, and health systems to tackle pressing healthcare challenges.
Participants will collaborate to design and build technology projects from scratch with opportunities for workshops, personalized mentorship, and engaging activities. Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2023, this year's hackathon promises a weekend of creativity where innovation meets impact and serves a meaningful purpose.
What to Expect?
At the 48-hour Healthcare Hackathon, participants will dive into an immersive and collaborative experience. You can look forward to:
- Innovative Challenges: Tackle pressing healthcare issues with creative, tech-driven solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Work in teams to brainstorm, design, and build technology projects from scratch.
- Mentorship: Participate in meetings led by industry experts and receive personalized guidance from these mentors.
- Engaging Activities: Take part in interactive showcase activities with technology giants that offer a break from coding and foster networking and collaboration.
Technology Resources: We will provide datasets for hacking during the event. Stay tuned for exactly which cloud resources will be made available and for information/instructions on how to use these resources from our technology partners including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Oracle.
