
Eligibility
Overall Eligibility for Research Incubator:
- Participation for all components of the research incubator is open to all tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure track faculty across all Rutgers units and from all disciplines, insofar that the concepts proposed are relevant to the incubator’s theme.
- For purposes of this Research Incubator, the phrase “early-career faculty” is defined as an investigator who has completed their terminal research degree or end of post-graduate clinical training—whichever date is later—within the past 10 years and who has not previously competed successfully as a Principal Investigator for a substantial, independent research award.
Ideas Café:
- Registration is open to all eligible faculty, insofar that the concepts proposed are relevant to the incubator’s theme.
Symposium:
- Applications are limited to eligible faculty who apply as teams and early-career faculty who apply individually, insofar that the concepts proposed are relevant to the incubator’s theme. Participation in the incubator’s Ideas Café is not required.
Seed Funding Initiative:
- Applications are limited to eligible faculty who presented at the incubator’s symposium, whether on teams or individually on early-career faculty panels, insofar that the applications are relevant to the incubator’s theme.
Additional Incubator Proposal Development Support and Related Programming:
- Open only to recipients of incubator seed funding grants.
