Biography

Carberta A. “Camie” Morrison has served as director of Sponsored Research on the Rutgers–Camden campus since 2002. In this role, Camie oversees pre-award and non-financial post-award activities.

Prior to joining Rutgers, Camie served as vice president of foundation management and charitable trust administration and vice president/director of grantmaking in the financial services industry. This included oversight of grantmaking activities for foundations, management of charitable trusts and administration of endowment funds. Early in her career, she spent several years working with Big 4 accounting firms, primarily in consulting, last serving as a manager.

Camie is a past president of the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI) Delaware Valley Chapter, serves on SRAI’s Education and Professional Development Committee, chairs the Certificate Subcommittee, and has been a presenter at SRAI annual and regional meetings. She is also a member of the National Association of University Research Administrators (NCURA).

She holds a BA in accounting from Rutgers University-Camden and MBA from Temple University. Camie is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) and holds the designation of Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) from The American College of Financial Services, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
